Dirty Air Filter

cleaned my apollo air filter today as you can see it was much over due what a mess. i didnt use k&n cleaner though has anyone got any useful tips of how to make it sparkle like new again please?post-135294-0-40839500-1391293106_thumb.post-135294-0-56525100-1391293164_thumb.

Slightly difficult to do if you use your car as a daily, fill a bucket or bowl with warm water and washing up liquid, give it a dip and shake it round in the water, should get a lot of crap out of it.

Dry it on the radiator overnight.

K&N oil is usually recommended as it helps trap finer particles of dirt, but don't spray too much on, I don't know what type of air sensor is on your car but too much oil will get sucked back into the engine and it will cling to your air sensor, usually more of a pain if it's a MAF sensor.
