Hi,

(Toyota Yaris T Sport 1.5, 2002)

Yesterday I noticed grease on my wheel, and inside wheel was in heavy
grease, not oil. I removed wheel and CV joint and around parts was
covered in grease. But when I'm driving car there is no noise, or
clacking. So I suggest it can be :

A. CVJoint & Boot

B. CV Joint Boot rubber covering

CV Joint - £ 55

CV Joint Boot rubber - £ 14

How long it takes to mechanic to change it and how much it costs, as I do not want to be ripped off? (Manchester)

Thanks!

Dunno about the full joint, but the rubber boot is fairly easy if the mechanic has the right tool for stretching it over. (If you don't have the stretchy tool it's a massive PITA )
