Alternater Light And Abs Light Then Electrics Died

I have just sold this car so bear with me

its an 57 plate 2.5 hilux. Never ever had a problem with it.. thu guy who bought it is a true gentleman so all good there.

But the Battery light ha scome on along with the ABS light...then the headlights went dim and the wipers slowed down then i think the engine died?

The car restarted with a jump with some leads

It is a twin Battery model...How are these wired up ??

Is it a case of a faulty alternater or a alternater belt snapping ??

Or something else?

Well its easy to see if the belt has snapped so if not that and the batteries are original it could be them (2min free test at Halfords) or the alternator is knacky knood.

But could the new owner have been splashing about in some deep puddles ?

The new owner put 2 new batteries on and an alternator and running like a dream again.
