Hi Kim and a big welcome to you on the club

Can I ask why you think the big end bearings need changing as this is not something, usually, that is done to an engine on its own.

The bearing wear is mostly caused by incorrect or lack of oil and as a result of the strains on them are the first things to make themselves known as worn in these cicumstances, however, the crankshaft can wear as well as the other bearings in the engine and the things that run in them.

These engines,by the way, are very robust and reliable or as often said bullet proof hence my question
