Hi there the other day the heating in my gen 7 53 plate 140 stopped working. I done the usual system bleed done it today. Car heated up nicely but when I drove it around my town to check it out it the heating stopped working again. Its acting funny now. If u rev over 3000rpm u get heat if ur under that u get cold.

Any idea ?

Thanks Joe

I don't know what u mean by 53 plate 140 but or what kind of work u done to ur car but I know that when my Celica thermostat was going bad it did that .also it happen when I removed the idle air control sensor. The air got in the system so i had to bleed the system more than once. At least 3 times or until I got my heading back and or stop over heating

Check your coolant!

I had this! the car warmed up OK but heating never got hot. My coolant was low. Filled it up and OK for a few days then the heating went again. Checked the coolant a second time and it was nearly empty!!! Turns out i had a gaping hole in my radiator! Its supposedly a common problem for the Gen 7 140bhps.

If i remember correctly a radiator is about £100 but Toyota recommend 2.5 hours fitting time!
