It sqweaks while I idle, but doesn't sqweak when the engine is cold.I already checked the belts, it must be the alternator.

Unload a tin of WD40 on the spindle bearings. If it stops then you know you were right. Won't cure the problem, but it'll buy you time to find a replacement.

There was some discussion about alternators last month here. Did anyone ever find out if the Paseo one is the same as a Sera?

does it require disassembling the alternator pulley?

Not sure, but I wouldn't have thought so.

Use the straw supplied with the WD40 and you should be able to reach all the way to the spindle.

Don't get any on the belts though.

you mean pulley??

it worked, thanks for the advice

Just a note, if you do that it will wash what grease is in the bearings out, shortly it WILL need an alternator if it didn't, also, WD40 attacks the brushes in alternators and starters.

I got down on the ground, and sprayed WD40 on the alternator pulley spindle.
