cheers man.

Well the beetle started life as a 1970 green beetle (MOT failure) got it on just after my 15th birthday.

i didn't know anything about cars before that apart from if it was a nice colour or not :D

So i ripped it apart body off everything stripped and then i took four years to rebuild it with a little help from my dad  the only thing i didn't do myself was respary it best left to the experts i think.

It now looks like a 1967 VW it's Dark metallic blue with cream down the sides, it has wooden running boards (made myself) and a wooden centre console. the interior is cream vinyl on the outside and a blue velour stripe on the inside. and a blue carpet.

That's about it all the engine has been rebuilt it's only the stock 1300cc with faster bit on it's not slow at all cruise in the middle lane at 70mph! people always ask me if why don't i put a 911 engine in it? my reply is that the beetle was never built for speed but to do millions of miles day in day out, i don't want it very fast because i might scratch it  which would make me :crybaby:

It’s only a summer / show car really but I love it with all my heart and would NEVER sell it not for all the tea in china :D

I will post some pictures tonight when I get in from work.

back in the day when i pased my test i looked into mabe bying as plit bay camper/or a beatle..perfrabley with an oval window

i loved the whole vw scene and have rakes of different vw mags locked away in my attick as proof..

what put me off was how fragile the boxer engines are...

i like what uve done by just using it as a show car

is it totaly standard matey?
