Was looking at Fensport Stage3 etc... but want bigger.

Any suggestions ? A big sodding Garret jobbie ??

nah... don't really use the boot apart froma toolbox...

So... suggestions needed for power mods...

IC could be got for any car really .. you cut a hole in your boot floor.

I'd say £500 for the biggest IC and then £300 for WI.

Then 1k on a turbo .. then fitting and RR time ..

Garrett GT28 450hp ball bearing turbo

This unit has a T25 type base flange and GT25 type rear flange for the exhaust. Features a huge .70 comp cover with smooth machined bellmouth inlet and 4" inlet. This unit has a .86 exhaust housing in this 450hp form . The comp wheel actually flows 44 LBs/Min and itself is rated near 450hp. Usual ultra reliability and superb response from the Garrett ball bearing design. Sometimes called a GT25/40. Very similar to the HKS GT25/40 but with a different comp cover and different number of blades on the compressor. Great upgrade for SR20DETs and other 2 litre's. A little laggier than the 400hp unit due to the larger exhaust housing.

About £800 Or .. for the nutters .. about £1500

Garrett GT 42/45 1000hp ball bearing turbo

This turbo is the biggest in our current range for the serious horsepower. Rated at 1000hp. Its a killer on any Rotary or 3.0ltr plus piston engine

You allso need a <fnar> flange for the turbo if you go Garret .. as well as custom oil and coolant lines.

If you stay stock and go hybrid, it'll be easier.

The GT28 listed on fensport is listed as a complete kit....

what else needed?

Maybe a Stage3 from fensport will be better for the time being then. More "Streetable"... but still loads of punch.

you chip *should* do the rest ..

A BIG IC from a supra for the boot, custom IC pipes ..

and then a scooby intake for your bot lid ..

so if I went the GT28 way...

I would only need the IC in the boot with piping. I would need forgies and larger fuel injectors would I not?

But if I went the Stage 3 route... just the turbo, forgies and injectors?

A scooby intake ? You mean the one that's usually on there bonnet?

Yeah the chip can do the rest... would just have to crawl upto Dastek.

you can go forgies on the pistons and cams etc .. you can go for a full WRC bottom end (600+ bhp proven).

But what are you after?

I know what I want .. but I dunno if I should do it ..

What am I after ?...

erm... Back to the Future 2 Stylee.... " Power! ".

Just want to know what's all needed with either of the two options.

I want heaps of power, but not something with massive lag.

I would love to go somewhere and say this is what I want.

Would goto CRD, but they go all Jap mad.... They want to put a £4500 HKS Turbo kit in the car... lol.

I'd say that 350~400 it the most you'll be looking at to keep it streetable on a 2.0 ..

If you want REAL knowledge speak to Dino @ Owens

They actually make the hybrids that are sold in the UK .. and Dino is a MR2 owner and a VERY clever bod.

They have had a ST205 up to about 550 BHP .. and that was a LOT of TTE rally bits and super race fuel .. it seems to be about the limit without megga lag ..

I would be happy with anything between 350 and 400 bhp.

Stage3 is listed as 360bhp.

May give fensport a call nearer the time and tell them what i want. See what they say I should get. Will also give Dino a shout.

Don't really trust CRD... well... not to the extent of doing this.
