Clutch Top Up

The old familiar slipping accelerator has prompted me to top up the clutch fluid on my 2L rav4 d4d (dot3).

My posting is.... Where's the bleeding tap (literally!) for the clutch fluid?

Please help. Ta

Hi Pete, bit of a puzzle here.

Can you repeat your question as clutch fluid will not affect the throttle.

If you added fluid to combat a slipping clutch, this will in no way cure it

Thanks for the reply, however fate has intervened and snatched my options away - the clutch failed on my way home last night 4 miles from home after a 12 hour shift and recovery was needed. So a new clutch is needed.

Sorry to hear that Pete, did you know that there are two types of clutch assembly available to you?

If you do a search for

DMF (dual mass flywheel

And SMF (single mass flywheel) that will give you the opportunity to check them out and see which you prefer.

The DMF is the original fit but some people on here have changed to the SMF type.

Thanks del. I think the smf is the choice. I need to find someone to fit it now
