Don't need to be that teccy.

I used these peeps.

Mobile fitted in 90 minutes in my office car park. £150 all in. The silver self coloured sensors exactly matched Toyota Tyrol (1F7) light siver but they are available in many different colours. My Yaris already had a rear camera so I only needed the basic audio warning.

The rear bumper was removed and the locating points for drilling the 4 holes were clearly visible on the inner surface of the bumper. So the sensors are in exactly the same place as the Toyota Factory installed ones. I highly recommend them.

Reason I needed them is that when you get home after driving in the wet the camera lens is obscured by water drops. I need to reverse into a garage avoiding the Freezer and wifes car. So I'll take all the help I can get!

Thanks Ethan, will give them a call tomorrow and see what they say. Might be interested in the Daytime running lights if the can be done on a Prius, (hence the Toyota teccy). They would be more up to date on the Prius.

A prius is still a normal car running 12 volts, nothing Hi tech about that side as long as you dont wire into or touch any ORANGE cables

I'd love to know if there's someone who'd do this for an OEM cruise control system. Mr T wouldn't (liability), but to my surprise, neither would my local indy Toyota garage...

I know that all of the necessary kit is aleady fitted to the car on the gen 3 prius, all it needs is a cruise control switch fitting. I suspect that it might be the same for the gen 2 prius too. Our Lexus CT200 was retro fitted with cruise control very successfully by simply asking the dealer to fit the switch. All the software, underbonnet gizmos are all there already as part of the fly by wire throttle linkage. It actually would cost Mr T more to produce cars especially without it and so the lower spec models are just sent out with the switch missing.
