Cig Lighter Not Working . Fuse ?

Morning all,

Noticed this morning that the cigarette lighter on our 2012 Yaris doesn't work. I found 2 fuseboxes in the engine bay but nothing to help identify what fuse.

Any idea where the fuse is for this ?

Won't there be a fuse box located somewhere around/underneath the dashboard or behind the glovebox?

Check your Owners Manual - which should identify where the internal fusebox is, if you have one, and what fuses are for which accessory, etc.

For example on my Auris, in addition to the engine compartment fusebox there is one under the instrument panel which houses the 15A fuse for the cigarette lighter/power outlet.

The owners manual we got is so generic it's unreal - I sometimes wonder if it's the right one!

I'll have a further look this afternoon to see what options there might be inside. Failing that it can go back to Mr T to fix, just didn't really want to do this as they keep it for the entire day and right now it's in use frequently!

Had a good look around inside the car and cannot find any fuses. Still none the wiser as to what fuses are what in the engine bay, so I'll have to book it in at the local dealer.

Thanks but nothing there (or obvious). It's no longer crucial, I'll schedule a visit to the dealer when it's convenient (and I'll get them to confirm the location and report back)

Page 513 of my 2014 Yaris brochure shows the interior fuse box is under the far left of the dash, bellow/behind the glove box there is a removable panel that drops down in the passenger foot well, behind that is the fuse box ( small rectangle a little larger than a deck of cards ) remove the cover an the fuse map is printed on the reverse of the cover.
