Hello All,

Just thought I would share a snap of my Avensis sporting its new ZCW R5.

Let me know your thoughts, I like the look.

saw a green T25 this afternoon, not a colour that you see often around here - looked striking in the afternoon sun.

Your car looks nice with it's new rims - now tell your insurance co. about them ;)

Nice wheels them ,a nice lighter shade of Green or maybe Red or even silver calliper paint would finish them off nicely :P

Ha Ha, I'm thankfully now an age where my insurance company doesn't get into cold sweats with such things. Told them before I even bought the rims. Another zero on cost change...

Thanks for the prompt though........

I'm not exactly young myself ;) - it's not your age that's the risk but the fact that they are non-oem. Also that they may draw more attention to your car & thus make it more attractive to theft.

My insurance co. (esure) want to charge me extra if I change to non-oem rims - mind you my insurance is under £200 p.a. full comp ...

I'm with Skye Insurance with all modifications declared; including the wheels. Luckily I park off road at night and in a CCTV fully controlled car park during the day. I always declare everything I do just to be safe.

I would recommend you try them on your next renewal have always been very good for me. Mind you my insurance is still a lot more than £200 a year.

Now that's a great price mate ....under £200.00 , insurance must be cheaper up in Scotland what's your excess ................. £1,000.00 :lol2:

I'm paying around £300.00 (£100.00 compulsory excess) with Toyota Insurance for me and the better half, no points, no claims and low mileage!

Pete.

iirc it's £250 excess & the car is parked in the street. Mind you I do have something like 23 years NCB, a clean licence, limited to a low mileage & me as only driver..
