T180 Wheel Changing?

Now at the point where I have 2 tyres to change and another wheel has a leaking valve.

I have read all the posts and my options are 1, See Toyota for expensive tyre changing and a new valve, 2, Buy another 3 spare wheels take the bands out (£50 per wheel from Toyota) then choose my own tyre fitter and tyres or 3, New rims and freedom again.

I am liking option 3 and seem to be finding several sets of alloys from Impreza's, would an offset of 48 be ok, from my spare wheel its telling me the wheel is 18 x 7-1/2, 45 offset, is this correct?

Cheers,

Jason

If they are 7 1/2" rims then ET48 should be OK.

Bear in mind that for many insurance companies changing alloys is a notifiable modification & may result in a change of premium.

I am with LV insurance and they said so long as they are the same size I am ok, how much does the rim width matter as looking tyre fitment info I came across a site that shows my current tyre size ok for rims 6 1/2 to 9, is the width more to do with clearance on the car that tyre suitability.

apart from rubbing etc. excessive changes of rim size/offset can affect handling/wear on suspension & tyre tread potentially sticking out past wheel arch which is illegal.
