Gen 7 190 Coolant Loss Issue

Hi Guys

I am a newbie in the celica world, so apologies for not knowing much.

What happened was the heating stopped working about a week ago. I checked the coolant bottle at the front and saw it was below the min line.

I topped up with a bit of distiled water and the heating came back.

I checked twice since then ( a few days apart each time) and twice the coolant has dropped below the min line.

The temperature only rose to the mid point when the heating was not working and never to the high position.

There is pressure because when you take the cap off when hot, it is pressurised, and the coolant doesn't appear to be dirty with oil. The car feels fine other than this.

VVTL-i 190 import auto .

Any advice or theories or anything?

cheers

Do you know how old the radiator is?, they are prone to leaking in the bottom corner.
