Moving On....1.33 To 1.6!

Afternoon all,

after nearly 2 years the opportunity has presented itself for me to go from 1.33 Auris (old style/shape) to the new shape/style 1.6 sport! Had a wee test drive of the upgraded motor yesterday and couldn't fault it, it also has the extra "go" i've been looking for what with the increase in engine size. Anyone already got one and can throw any perks/suggestions about my shiny brum to be. Can't wait to collect.

Congratulations on the order! How long are you waiting for delivery?

Currently have the 1.6 VVTi in Sport trim, with Pro pack and space saver wheel as extras.

I'm pretty happy with mine, had it 6 months. I think the stereo is great, and in 6th gear, it trundles along motorways no probs. Good tyres on it as well.

What colour you getting, any extras?

Hi Pal,

Wanted it in black however would've had to wait till june! Sod That! White it is! Was too'ing and throwing with getting the comfort pack however will probably get that at a later date as i grow to like the car more. My local toyota should receive it around 20th... although collection anytime between 26th-31st. Like i mentioned going from the 1.33 to 1.6, i'm just glad of the extra gogo... as the one i have now seems to labour a little when on motorways etc and seems to confuse itself with the gear changes into and out of 6th. Can't wait as this ones got reversing camera , bluetooth - which is a fair bit more than my current one has so can justify the extra £36 a month on it.

Good job. I toyed with getting the comfort pack, but the lead time would have been ridiculous.

I personally think that the media interface is absolutely cracking- the bluetooth is great, and sound quality on both sides of the conversation is great. I use my bluetooth to stream music as well, and again, absolutely made motorway journeys something to look forward to again!

Enjoy- as Uncle Buck said, post us a few pics of your motor when you take delivery!

Will get the pics up as soon as I can for you gents! One query one (for those of who own one or have driven a newer one). Have they redesigned the key to a flip one? Funny feeling they have as could've swore the one I test drove did but just thought if ask about as the current keys are as big as a !Removed! sword hahaha!

You may have read my post regarding key before I deleted it, as I thought that it had a non flip key. After inspecting, the Keyless fob has a removeable emergency key inside the fob, so maybe the non keyless system, may very well have a flip key - most car seem too these days.
