96 Camry Hood And Camry Brakes

The hood release inside my 96 Camry doesn't unlock the hood. Does anyone know how to release the hood if this is broken?

The brakes are rather loud when braking from high speed such as slowing down to get off an exit on a highway. The brakes are okay according to Midas. Any ideas of what could be causing it?

If there is no resistance on the inside release,you have to get it from underneath.The brake pads are prone to squeaking.You can remove them and rough them up with emery cloth or go to a softer pad.
