Avensis D4D 2004 T25 Sloppy Loose Gear Stick Lever

Hi Gazza. I have been speaking to a friend, who believes I have bent/damaged one of the cables hence the stiffness. it happened to him in the past, he did have his old cables (of a Mitsubishi same set up as mine).

one was very smooth when being pulled by hand and one was stiff as if to say it was getting caught on something.

I have been looking at part numbers for the cables- the part number for this car(2004) is 33820-05263.

we also have a 2006 avensis same 1cd-ftv engine,for the same part its 33820-05265.

Devon aygo- any reason why they have different part numbers, both hatchbacks, same engines, manuals. one is a t spirit and one is a t2.

If I do get them for a salvage yard I would want to inspect them first.I will price up tomorrow.

anyone know any salvage yards in the north east of england/yorkshire/west yorkshire that wont want a arm and a leg for cables. or even a salvage yard near them where a d4d 2003-2006 is sitting around.

33820-05263 does come up for my car but when toyota go to order it is replaced by part number 33820-05265. sadly they want £310 for the cables. they come as a pair.

£310 no way, got some of eBay, do you think yours are on the way out? mind you they are a b*gger to fit.

Hopefully timing belt and water pump next week :)
