Cupe Heating/circulation Problem

Hey, i have a toyota avensis 1,6 4a-fe. i have a problem with my hot air in the car. The line into the heatermatrix gets hot, but only after reving the car (over 3k rpm) for a while. the out line is quite cold. so i think there is a circulation problem, but the car does not overheat even when i drive like an idiot( revs betwen 4000 and 6000rpm).

i had an incident this winter, i didnt use enough coolant so the coolingsystem was slush, but i dont think this have killed the waterpump since the car dont overheat at pretty hard driving.

please help!!

Sounds to me like an air lock in the heater matrix?did you drain and refill, make sure to set the heating control to full on heat if you refill.

its the 1998 model, no valves at all to the heater matrix, so the setting the ting to full on heat wil not do any difference. i have forced water trough the matrix before i connected the hoses. how much resistance should it be in the matrix?

i found out that it was the heater matrix, the resistans in the matrix wasen't that different in the new one, but after i changed it it just worked like a charm!
