Hey all.

this ones a classic, i have no idea if anyone can help, and trust me im not making this up, i have a witness,,,,

last night, we were all sitting having a few beers in the garden,

when suddenly a very strange electrical noise started to come from the nearside wing.. i cant really describe this at all,,,

so i went got the digital camcorder and decided to sit and wait for it to happen again,, but it didnt. im sure it will.

and in order to prove this tonight i will be sitting armed and ready and will post a link on this post to get help..

so question is.......... is that what my car does at night ???

losing it, yes...lol - off the top of my head, is it a turbo celica youv got, and is it a cooling "run on" type thing? or the fan carries on until engine is cooler - dont forget at standstill the engine is at its hottest, heat rises and is trapped (mostly) due to the bonnet. so it might be something like that ??

out of curisity...can you photograph sound? :P lol I got some sounds need lookin at :D

Im going to see the doctor tonight and get myself checked in for a wee break in a hotel with padded rooms.....

BUT When im back .... the video camera ( with sound ) footage will prove im right..

yeah in some cars the temp sensor on the cooling system is always 'live' and if it breaches the correct 'fan on temperature' then yes it will start the fine up

my dads old golf gti used to do it when left in direct sunlight on a hot day for a while.....makes folk jump when they walk past it tho!

All joking aside.. I remember with mine I had the same problem, it turned out to be the hexanglenal thrust bolt located under the plastic splash panel... Very very expensive is brain doctors.. Thats what cured meeeeee...

could be the charcoal filter venting these can make a slightly wurry/ buzzing sound and it prolly does it at night as the temp drops
