Front Brake Judder

1995 celica gt , steering wheel judders alot when pressing brake when the discs get hot ,ok when cold ,new discs required or something else ,any ideas ???

are ur wheels correctly balanced? are any of ur front rims bent or buckled??

if it was ur front discs this would only happen when u put ur foot on the brake

Your discs will get hot if you brake a lot. The time to worry is if they get hot when you haven't used them much, thats a sign of sticking calipers. You can sometimes notice it if its bad when you coast to a stop and the car stops with the same feeling as you stopping it with the brakes (difficult to describe but without brakes it should glide to a stop, with them there is a definate stop feeling). If they are bad you should also notice a horrible smell at rhe offending wheel. If it is the calipers the heat may have distorted the discs. Dont just fit new discs without sorting the calipers , you'll just knacker them too.
