2010 Avensis Remove Driver & Passenger Door, Realign Front Wheel A

Hi guys

I dropped my car into Toyota dealer to explain about noise when opening and closing both passenger & drivers door. Much like a clunking noise, same in both. I reckoned it maybe the hinges needed re-greasing. The drivers door was replaced last year. The dealer replaced it.

On checking the doors yesterday, they said it could be the straps that need replacing in the doors, whatever they are? But they re-greased the hinges and we'll see how it goes.

He pointed out that the mudflap must have been getting caught in some ramps as its after pulling the wheel arch in a bit and its slightly touching the door when the door it opened.

So I was hoping to fix it myself, and wondering what do I need to do?

Thanks

I find it hard to believe that catching a mud flap on a ramp has caused you front wing to move like that, not sure what the warranty situation is where you are but I would be looking for Toyota to sort it out FOC.

3 year warranty I believe.

The drivers door was replaced last year (common fault), something about cracks. I spoke to a taxi driver once and he had same issue with his doors again 2010 model.

They inspected the passenger door and they reinforced it they said, no need for replacement.

They are very pleasant to deal with, I was hoping it would be done FOC as there is very little mileage on it. Its not driven much.

I'll give them a shout over the next day or two, they said leave the grease work in, and hopefully that should sort out clunking noise when opening and closing.

Cheers
