im not sure the actual hub is fine there is a flange that fits inside i am told that holds the bearing in place but i cant find one for sale anywhere.

Confused? Those parts don't wear out/make a noise? They are liable to impact distortion.

The Inner race of the wheel bearing is pressed onto that flange. Are you sure that it's not the wheel bearing which is at fault?

The price quoted by the breakers will be the entire hub assembly which may also include the lower ball joint. That just needs bolting onto the suspension/driveshaft.

If you're on a budget this is the way to go as the labour costs are reduced to and it's a diy job. However this cheaper option can only be considered if you can be certain that the ABS sensor can be easily removed from the hub. Damage this and it's no longer a cheap option. The alternative requires a garage with a press.

You need to be more specific about the

problem as I feel that I'm making too many assumptions
