my vsc light wont go out when the car starts, 2006 Avensis 1.8 vvti petrol.no other lights are on.toyota mechanic done diagnostic no fault codes detected.but could not turn off the light.

toyota mechanic had all the correct equipment. nothing will turn off the light. maybe a open circuit. but finding it will be a nightmare.

might just cut the power lead to vsc light.

Cutting the power to the light will now result in an MOT failure, as the current MOT system knows which cars have VSC fitted and include the check light coming on and off as part of the MOT, no light no pass.

When you say "Toyota mechanic" are talking Toyota dealer or someone who knows a bit about Toyota's, if the vsc light is on there should be a code set as to why and after a steering angle sensor is fitted calibration is required, even the lack of calibration will set a DTC code.
