Hi all, new here so bear with my as have a few questions.

Q1: I am collecting my Rav4 2.2 d-4d xt5 this Friday and the garage (car world) is giving me three months warranty, they have also tried to sell me extra warranty - does anyone think it's worth it?

Q2: What satellite navigation does it have, can't find the answer anywhere. Is it TomTom or Garmin?

Q3: Does adding running boards and bull-bars have to be declared as a modification to my insurance company?

Q4: Where in Cambridgeshire or around that way can I purchase running boards etc for my XT5?

Thanks

Hi,

I would recommend you advise your insurers of any modifications or accessories just to be on the safe side. If you find you have any issues with insurance then please feel free to drop me a line.

Regards,

Dan.

1. Warranty is a personal choice, personally I would buy a warranty, 3 months isn't long, you don't have to but a policy from the retailer though, Toyota offer a very good extended warranty and other options are available elsewhere.

2. The inbuilt navigation will be Toyotas HDD system, made by Fujitsu ten operating a Toyota software system.

3. Yes Steps and bull bars have to be declared, and don't be surprised if your insurer refuses to cover traditional tubular metal bull bars, as they are now illegal, softer plastic a bars are acceptable, see http://www.toyota-tech.eu/Aim/Aim.aspx?pubtype=AIM&menuitem=3

for genuine Toyota accessory options.

4. Local Toyota dealer or send Parts king a PM

1. I don't think you can buy the Toyota extended warranty unless you buy from Mr T.

3. Are you likely to be running into any bulls? Agree that if you must (and I can't see the point) then go for soft ones

4. Agreed!

@redlew

1. As I stated in my first post you can buy after market warranties, but I phoned my local Toyota Dealer and they also sell them.

2. Not bulls but I've heard you get 50 points a granny and 300 for school children, so hey bull bars sound good to me.
