04 D4D Coolant Light Half On

Hi All

Trying to work out why the coolant light is partly light on a 04 D4D,

There is lots of fluid in the expansion bottle,

The light comes on with the key and dims about 50% when the car is started,

Car seems to be going ok it's not mine btw

The switch is at fault in the expansion tank...??scrapyard jobby.
