today kath took delivery of her new 14 plate aygo and we have to say we were surprised

by how quiet it was in comparrison to our 09 plate and also it came with flappy paddles

with it being the mmt ,this is something we weren't expecting ,so far its a great little car.

I got my 14 plate Aygo 2 weeks ago and after joining this forum I wondered if I had done right getting one of these but so far I am enjoying it .Peter

Got my new baby too, had her a week now. Little quirks to get used to but generally impressed with my Mrs Norris. Impressed with the perfomance particularly on the motorway considering its a smaller engine than the Yaris.

What spec level did your wife get? Mine is a move with style.

the aygo move 5dr mmt in white with a black roof.

after going out in it tonight she also found that the indicators dont turn off just after you

turn the steering wheel, you can actually go around a roundabout without having to

put the indicators back on again and again.

between friday and sunday i will be fitting a door switch to each of the rear doors

and front passenger door and fitting a light delay unit, and a set of seat cover as we have

a dog and want to keep the seats nice and clean.

Yes one thing I am going to get is a seat cover as I may be having mum's dogs in the car

Be careful with seat covers, must be SRS air bag friendly ;)

I was thinking rear seats, will never have a dog in the front seat, too dangerous and distracting.

Do you have any details on rear door switches might as well do mine when I do front passenger one.Peter

Agreed, but people rarely fit half a set or indeed buy just a rear cover........just saying

the covers we have are suitable for side airbags as long as you fit them with the label to the airbag your fine

as for the rear door pin switches here is where i bought them from as toyota cannot supply you with any,

absolutely barmy since toyota went to the trouble to press the holes in the body then put seals over the hole

why not just fir the switches as well.

the pin switches have 2 spade connectors just permanently connect one terminal to earth this is because

the switches are plastic and cannot connect to earth themselves

It is quite common with ALL manufacturers to leave out these small details on smaller, lower priced cars. We once owned a Micra that was exactly the same

It is all about costs, the bean crunchers decide what spec you can have for the price

when toyota have gone to the trouble of designing a press for the panel and then make the press to produce the panel which all costs money then you may as well make use of the extra holes, surely it could be another money spinner for them just like the after market glovebox lid

Doesn't work like that though does it, the pressing and holes could be for any number of specifications of car, it is a PSA product, a certain model may have switches, others not, depending on the spec of each 107, C1 or whatever it might be

Specifications change all the time, I've recently been involved in a car where the customer had folding mirrors on her 10 plate car. The new top of the range petrol model she has ordered does not have them, and she needs them, however if she had bought a diesel model, they would have been fitted as standard. Somebody somewhere (and probably an accountant) decided the price to put folding mirrors on a petrol model was a step too far!!

I've got an old sleeping bag which I think I will use.
