Toyota Hilux Surf 2002 1Kd Problems

Dear All,

I have recently bought a Toyota Hilux Surf year 2002 with 1KD D4D Common Rail Diesel Engine and an automatic transmission. I am having the following few issues with it and appreciate any help in this regard.

Whenever my truck is cold and I stop at a U turn or an intersection, it doesn't move instantly when i press the accelerator again. It seems to have gone in neutral with the engine reving for a few seconds and then finally goes with a little *****. The transmission oil level is perfect and the oil looks healthy. It does this only once or twice maybe after a cold start and then it's fine.

Another issue I am having is a loud humming noise from the center or rear of the truck while driving. The noise increases with speed and goes away if i take my foot of the accelerator. I suppose if it's the wheel bearing gone bad, the noise wouldn't go simply by stepping off. So it's not the wheel bearing.
