Phonebook From Iphone To Handfree

Hi all,

Picked up my RAV4 2.2 D-4D XT5 (2007) today, and after some fun managed to delete all connected phones and then connect my iPhone 5. The problem I have is when I try and copy my phonebook across it says waiting for me to do something and bluetooth connection on phone shows as disconnected, when I press cancel the phone shows as connected.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi again

This is doing my head in and don't really wish to have to hand type my whole phonebook onto Rav4

When I try and transfer my phonebook the bluetooth loses connection on the phone, I can see it has and def says not connected but when I press cancel on the display while trying to transfer my phonebook the bluetooth reconnects.

I think you'll find the iPhone 5 won't allow you to transfer your contacts. I had a similar problem and checked it out via various sites. So other than entering them individually your stuck.. I think the Android phones will do it ok..

I think it is a combination of bluetooth and Apple to be honest. I have had a few latest models with Touch and Go, they have transferred no problem from my iPhone 5, it was not possible on earlier models with "add on" bluetooth

One trick if you do not have too many contacts is to back them up to the Sim, transfer the Sim to a compatible Android device pair it with the car, transfer the contacts in to the car then swap back again

Read some more threads and it can be done with a laptop.

Thanks for the info Dave, I'll check it out, but I think it all relies on the laptop having bluetooth capability which mine doesn't.. I wonder if it can be done with a galaxy tab3?
