Do I Have A Clutch Cable ?

Pardon my ignorance but do I have a clutch cable on my Avensis 02 GS VVTI ?

I read a post here which referred to a hydrolic type and wondered what the difference is ? If there is a cable how long is it likely to last as I had two go on my last car - a Cavalier

My 1998 Avensis has a hydraulic clutch and I expect yours will too. The hydralic clutch instead of having a cable from clutch pedal to clutch assebly, has instead a simlpified version of what is behind your brake pedal. I.E. A small master cyclinder attached to the clutch pedal with a pipe that goes from this master cylinder to a small slave cylinder that is conected to the clutch assembly itself. when the clutch pedal is depressed the master cylinder forces fluid down the connecting pipe to the slave cylinder that them moves the clutch. No cables to break!!
