Mysterious Fuel Cap Opening Avensis D4D 2004

My fuel cap opens without me pressing it every now and again, quite annoying. I only notice it open when I come back to the car, what could this be? is it the switch at the drivers door card? or the mechanism at the rear of the car. does the fuel cap not lock when the central locking is pressed?
