Rav4 4.3 Cold Start Failure

hi, has anyone ever experienced any cold start failure??? I'm noticing that after a long stop but not always, engine will keep turning to start but to no avail, after a second or third try it will start and a white smoke will appear for a very short period.

Its as if it is loosing fuel pressure but not sure.

I've changed fuel filter and added slick50 fuel treatment as adviced by my toyota dealer, but to no avail.

Now they're suggesting that it's a plunger problem within the fuel pump...

Any advice??

Have the glow plugs been checked,James?

hi, yes I've checked the glows and are all fine and working perfectly.
