Help! How To Separate Electrical Connector Block

I'm trying to find a convenient way to access the backup light wires on my 2004 RAV4. Since the bulb holder is in a tight spot, I would like to separate the connector for the rear bulb set from its junction block. I cannot separate it, however. Any suggestions/instructions would be appreciated. I have tried to attach a photo of the connector block.

Thank you for your help.

Electrical connectors have a claw which clicks into place preventing the connector parting inadvertently. You'll need to press a small button whilst parting the socket - looks like one right at the bottom right where the plug pushes into the socket.

Thanks for your reply. I'll investigate further. Such a tight spot to do anything though. May have to investigate removing the back side interior plastic panel to have better access. That, however, seems to be quite a chore.

gjnorthall, Thank you again for your comment about the little button possibly being on the lower right. It was and the connector came apart quite easily. This allowed me the access I needed to solder the leads for my Garmin backup camera to the backup light circuit. It now works. However, I now have the chore of finding the best spot for the camera. It is currently attached with velcro to the inside of the back window. Probably will not remain there. Have to play a bit with the camera and its positioning. Your assistance was crucial to a simple installation.
