Error Code P2226 On Rav4 2.0 D4D.

can some one tell want this error code is p2226.

The car works fine when engine cool but when the temperature needle gets to half way loses power.

This code relates to the MAP sensor (manifold absolute pressure sensor). These can be blocked by oily deposits or sometimes fail altogether. It's worth trying to clean the sensor with carburettor cleaner before replacing it. Depending on which model Rav - the sensor can be mounted remotely on the bulkhead or mounted directly onto the air pipework - I'm sure someone can identify the location on your model. The sensor will have a 3 wire connector and the label will say something like "Sensor, Turbo Pressure"

Firstly try to clean the inlet connection to the MAP sensor (manifold absolute pressure sensor / barometric pressure sensor). If no joy - replace the sensor.

I have the same problem. 

I change thise sensor (manifold absolute pressure sensor / barometric pressure sensor) but toyota still doesnt work good.

 

Someone can help me?

This part you need cost £87 few years ago

I check it today. It looks fine and works good.(open and close). Supply is ok(12V) .

Since the topic is pretty short, i guess cleaning MAP sensor worked. They can get really gunked up, so just get some cleaner for it, and spray away.
