Breakdown Services Recommendations?

With a month to go before my free year's cover ends, I have been looking at the options from other companies.

The £66 renewal for the free AA coverage is way too much for what I require.

I need only national cover, "get you there or home", and home start.

It would, though, be interesting to have views from other members and of of their experiences, good and bad.

The AA came first in the latest Which? report, followed by Saga (who contract with the AA). Toyota Roadside Assistance use the AA.

As far as I know the Club Toyota AA Roadside wotsit is the cheapest you can get for the level of cover it brings.

If you get that normally with the AA it's over a hundred, although it covers you in any car and not just the car in that case.

It might be worth checking with your insurance company and possibly your bank to see what they offer too tho'; Usually they only offer basic recovery but some allow you to upgrade for things like homestart.
