just laughing over old topics...

trust you've found out you can use a paper clip to short two of the pins to get the motor to show you what is wrong according to the ecu...

I didn't know this trick,could someone explain it in a bit more detail or point me to instructions somewhere???

You short or connect two of the terminals inside your little DIAGNOSTICS box (its in the engine bay on the drivers side on the boot wall). Then you can sit in the car switch on the ignition and the engine warning light blinks. Depending on how it blinks tells you if any sensor faults have been stored on your ECU.
