Hi there, about to get my amplifier wired up and have just finished making my own sub box, what should i cover it with. Your answers please and comments ;)

unless you have made a sterling job of constructing the box then use black carpet or itll look crap

well carpet is extremely good at hiding imperfections as everything else will show it up, so you decide

the best is GRP sprayed to match the cars colour :D

GRP = glass reinforced plastic = fiber glass

an absolute swine to work with but looks incredible if done right!

ah right! i like the subs you can get in perspex boxs with neons! but the ones i seen werent as powerful as i wud have liked!!

perspex is also a crap material to make a sub box with!

Nooooo not fully perspex, jus the front bit, the sub was inside and perspex covered the whole front end

well in that case its just a 'viewing' window.

perspex has got no acoustic properties what-so-ever!

mdf or if you can stretch out then birchwood, which is better and lighter and doesnt have to be as thick

jus need to iron it, il get the lass to do that! As long as i dont get an iron mark on it :o
