54 Plate 4.2 Drl Suggestions?

Hi all, looking at getting DRL's fitted to my 4.2.

I like the idea of these cos to be honest I have always driven (night or day) with sidelights on.

Must be embedded into me from my military driving in my past life!

Would also like to hear if anyone has fitted a set to the 4.2 size, type, location etc...

Hi Steve,

Only just seen this ! I've got DRL's on my 4.2, I got the from Halfords, about £25 if my memory serves me right. They are 6 led units and I fitted them in the outer grill area, they fitted in very well. Wired in to the sidelight circuit.

I'll try and post a pic tomorrow, but might be later on as my wife has a hospital appointment in the morning.

Hi Steve,

After I re-read your post I realised that the front of mine is the earlier style without the nudge bar, so the placement of my DRL's wouldn't work for your car. The lights are nicely made, very bright and would fix in a variety of places.

Probably worth having a look at these if they're in your local Halfords, plenty of DRL's on the net , eBay etc, but I've found the quality is very variable !

I also changed the sidelights to cool white led type so when only the sidelights are on they match the colour of the DRL's , they don't show up very well in daylight but the originals didn't either ! Unfortunately my Canon camera compensated for the brightness - they look much brighter in reality.

Very smart they are Norm! I will take a look in Halfords for the ones you have as I think they would fit nicely either side of my plate? Thanks for the photo and Info Norm.
