Standard Alarm On Mr2

Hiya,

Just a general enquiry I have noticed that when I have dead locked the car then unlocked the door with the key and opened it. The alarm doesn't make a noise and only the hazard lights flash is his normal or should it be making a noise too

I have made the same discovery. My hand book indicates an audible alarm should occur ,but. it doesn't'

Can anyone help us with this, I rang up toyota and they said my car was fitted with a standard alarm and that the siren might of been taken off by a previous owner

I assumed that the "siren" would be provided by means of the horn.?
