The aircon in my Yaris is not working as cold as it should. As the weather is getting warmer. I wanted to know where you would advise The best place to take it , Toyota garage, Kwik fit, ATS, independent etc.. . cheers

Think it depends whether the car is still under warranty, and the costs. I'd be inclined to compare what is covered in any air con service/re-gas and prices first, and then decide.

I have used Kwikfit in the past for aircon with complete success.. (in winter when they do half price deals)

Kwik fit and Halfords both do air con regas for £49, speaking from experience with a Yaris that kept losing air con gas

Don't think that Toyota charge much more than that

Steer away from DIY refills or independents offering just a top up service

A proper air con service involves extracting the existing gas and refilling with the exact quantity of gas AND oil which the system requires

Your local Toyota dealer will do this for approx £50, if it is more expensive, have a deal with them

Yeah, just booked re-gas in with Toyota for £60. Beginning to realise its not necessarily more expensive to have stuff done properly at main dealer. . . and done properly. Cheers for advice

The main thing to here is to make sure the system holds pressure before refilling otherwise you are wasting your time and money, I think you will find a Toyota dealer will do this as standard.
