In the ratings for car manufacturers, Toyota has slipped down the tables in the 2014 survey.

In 2013 Toyota took 9th place, whereas in the 2014 survey they have dropped to 17th. Reliability and running costs scored highly, but performance and road handling are what irritated owners the most.

However, every other Japanese manufacturer also dropped - Lexus came 4th (1st in 2013), Mazda 8th (4th in 2013), Honda 13th (6th in 2013),Subaru 16th (11th in 2013), Nissan 22nd (12th in 2013), Mitsubishi 23rd (19th in 2013), and Suzuki came last overall at 33rd (29th in 2013).
