Braided Brake Lines

Are braided brake lines worth it ... I know they were on old cars I have had ... but are they on such a new car

Installed a set on mine and did not feel any difference... :/ I'm sure there are people who have different opinions though.

On some old cars I have had ie from the 70s and 80s they do improve but I figured with the power assisted braking it wouldn't make a difference

Changed to braided on my zx6r made a massive difference but braking system is different but it's the only info I can offer you :)

Yh I have had a lot of old escorts mk2s and rs turbos and they did then anything I had that wasn't power assisted has worked well with them but never done such things to a newish car

Just curios and dragging up an old thread ( that I started ) who makes braided lines for the Auris I can't find anything on a quick search

Nobody AFAIK at the moment. If I remember correctly, speedchaser had them made for him from Goodridge.

Yeah contact guys at Goodridge. They will make them for you as I've sent them examples which they used to make mine.

I had a set of braided steel hoses made up for mine when the discs & pads were being done. The garage is a rally car preparation specialist, so had all the necessary tools, parts & skills to do the job. Pedal feel a bit firmer, but more importantly the brakes now feel more responsive & you get the exact amount of retardation you asked for. Passed the MOT easily too, so they obviously did the job correctly. :)
