Hello mate, yes they are the same :-)

A good way for you to check parts like this is to put the details into Eurocarparts website and it will give you part numbers for both years of car especially if you are looking at buying second hand parts somewhere else.

Better than Euro car parts, Parts Base and ToyoDIY, which use similar parts database, show both cars use the same drive shafts.

I like Euro Car Parts, but they do not have all the correct info on some items.

In this instance they come up trumps.

aslong as the engine code is the 1cd-ftv is the same it should fit, 2006 is the change over year I don't if the 1ad-ftv engine uses the same driveshaft's with it being a 6 speed box.

The drive shafts have the same part numbers for both engines, even though the gearboxes are different.

These links are from Parts Base site and ToyoDIY is exactly the same.

The 6 speed gearbox may not even be longer than a 5 speed, as packaging techniques move on.

The Parts Base site use the same images as ToyoDIY. ToyoDIY is easier to use by using details from the vehicle identification label. Also you cross reference part number when cars share the same components. Parts Base is more of a faff. ToyoDIY have a terms and conditions, though you can sign up to get the images.

So when I show you only links from Parts Base, I am not breaking ToyoDIY's terms, and you are getting the same image and data.

I hope this clears that up.
