4age Blue Top

:help::help::help: I might be buying a Bluetop for my AE92, and just wanted some info from you guys/gals in te know?

My engine is a Red, Black on Silver background.

The one I might get is a blue from an AE82.

Check the info below, coz to me it doesn't seem as good as mine, apart from the fact that mine has done 160k and the blue has only done 75K.

Check this link:

http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Garage/8422/4age.htm

Right at the bottom of the page there is a table giving all the details.

Any recomendations????

Any help is much appreciated!!!

Cheers

Dont bother, its an old 4age, the red top wins hands down over this, but beware, quite a few old blue tops cam cover writing gets painted red !?

If your intent on sticking with a 4age then get the latest year possible ('92) and nothing earlier..... you'll really appreciate later.

look out for a 'black top' 20v, they do crop up sometimes but not often.

lets face it, if your goign to replace your engine replace it with something bigger and better....

4age (late spec, non-tvis, 129bhp)

4agze (supercharged)

at least

My current engine is 123bhp and as the Toyota Variable Induction System on!

I will probably still go for the 4A-GZE that i've been saving for (long way to go yet), but will the black top 20V fit straight in then? What's it out of and what's its BHP like?

Cheers

Jake
