Hey you fellow Ravvers out there

Quick question for you...

whenever I open the sunroof fully I get a weird wind sound as I drive along... I've noticed though when the sunroof is closed and you open it, it doesnt actually open fully...

Is there anyway of getting rid of the wind noise when the sunroof is opened fully?

Cheers

Rob

Most sunroofs have a wind deflector which rises when the sunroof is opened. Is the wind deflector rising and seating properly when the sunroof is opened?

The roof opens automatically up to a certain point after flicking the switch. The roof will go further back if you then activate the switch again. (it's not designed to retract completely). Even with the wind deflector working properly - you will get noise over a certain speed. The tilt function gives much less noise.

Mine is the same when fully open. Also get the same noise if I open both rear windows fully and nothing else. It's just the wind buffering in the openings madly changing the air pressure in the car. That's why the roof doesn't open completely by itself as it's designed to stop this. :)
