Hey NOS powered ppl!!

A friend of mine wants to install a NOS kit in his Alfa 145 Quadrifoglio, and he would like to know in USD how much does it cost?

But I suggested to go for a Turbo kit instead.

So... what do you suggest, NOS or TURBO?

Cheers

go for a turbo as if he buys a nos kit for his na lump he will need to buy a dry kit howeva if he then wants a turbo then a wet kit should be used. so basically get a turbo then if he wants it jus put on a wet kit as oposed to getting nos then getting turbo and then changing nos kit

I'd always go for the turbo option...

depends on how he wants to drive...

if he wants constant power then turbo is the way to go.

but if he wants to retain fuel economy etc then get nos, as he can use this only when he needs it.

i cant really see him using nos unless hes racing!

Turbo will make you fast all the time

NOS, you will have to refill everytime you use it

turbos don't necessarily increase fuel consumption.

When my Sera had the automatic gearbox and 1500cc normally aspirated engine, I would normally get an average of 370km per 30 litres - same route to and from work, mixture of town and country driving.

Since converting to manual gearbox and 1300cc turbo engine, i get on average 370km per 30 litres. The route hasn't changed, the traffic hasn't changed, I can take advantage of better acceleration although cruising speed is about the same due to speed limits...
