Et Offsets

yo dudes

can anyone fully explain et offsets to me (as in alloys)

answering this question aswell

if a have et38 wheels and then change to et40. does this cause the wheels to be pushed furthar out or are they likely to be further under the arches?

The larger the offset the further under the arches. My Corolla originally had 14" et42 wheels on the rear (no scrubbing) - put 16" et38 on and fouled the arches - replaced with 16" et40 and was much better. This might help

That's right. On my wheels the ET value is cast into the back of on of the apokes.
