I currently have a 2005 avensis 2.2 d4d tspirit, I love it it's served me well just starting to hit 195k miles and in the two years I've had it only needed a Battery and alternator.

Now I do minor servicing myself oil/air/fuel/cabin filters and brake pad and disc changes.

I'm looking to replace my old faithful but stick with an avensis I'm currently looking at a 2009/10 avensis 2.0 estate being a different engine and body any thing to look out for will servicing be as easy of have they moved things around abit in the bay and how is the reliability of the T27 and 2.0 l engine.

All advice and opinions apprciated

One thing to watch out for is the 1AD and 2AD engines in the Avensis with production dates of April 2005 to February 2009 - see http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/132178-charliefarlies-guide-to-the-toyota-2ad-diesel-engine-and-its-issues/

Anybody???

Try and get a late 2010 model and you will get the balance of the 5 yr Toyota warranty (subject to service history etc) which I believe started in August 2010.

Pete.
