Hi am new to this, I have a toyota avensis d4d 2001, last week when I was driving it the car all of a sudden gone into limp mode especially up hills, it feels has thou something is blocking the turbo from kicking in, so taken to local they serviced it and put computer on the car it has shown no faults has anyone got any ideas thanks what could be wrong?

Sounds like what happens on some of the VAG cars.

When the turbo is spinning up, it is detecting either over or under boost.

As said, it may be worth cleaning your egr valve. Check the condition of the intercooler, and of course the turbo.

When you switch off the car does it reset as if there is no issue?

What is you oil consumption like?
