Hi,

were they still doing the 2.0l petrol Avensis for the UK in 2011 (I would have to go & look up)? There is virtually no difference between the 1.8 & the 2.0l which is why they dropped the 2.0l here.

The big difference between the 2 cars is that iirc the Honda still has a mechanical handbrake.

A lot of the other stuff is going to be subjective but I suspect that the Avensis may be cheaper to buy & run.

Im not sure im looking for the automatic spec on the avensis facelift with the leather if not i have to look at the new accords

& of course a 2011 Avensis would have a 5 year warranty from new so still covered for a few years. Don't think that the Accord can say the same...

The link you provided is for the current Avensis - specifications were changed in March 2013, so wouldn't necessarily be the same for a 2011 model.

It isn't the updated version of the trims you want - it is the trims prior to March 2013.

The following link enables you to download previous model brochures - I would suggest you download the 'Avensis February 2009 2' brochure which will provide a better indication of what the trim levels were prior to March 2013: http://www.toyota.co.uk/owners-info/vehicle-information

specifications were just changed about 6 weeks ago to those on the website now (e.g. T4 replaced by Icon Business Edition).

I've got the facelift brochure around here so I'll look it out but not just this second.

Looking at HonestJohn's real mpg the Accord 2.0 auto gets ~33mpg whereas the Avensis 1.8 CVT gets over 39mpg.

Pretty sure that the 1.8 CVT was in T4 trim.

The big question is were they still making the 2.0 CVT for the UK.

Will try & look out brochure this evening.
