Hi guys the Deakin here many thanks for all your replys on the new shape avensis and if it still has the head gasket issue,i would like to share a download that toyota gb sent to me they have told me that there was an issue with some of the 05 AD old style engines blowing the head gaskets but the technical department has assured me that production of this engine stopped in 2008 and was replaced with the new 08 AD engine.So if anyone knows if any toyota avensis cars after this that have had a head gasket issue please let me know so i can contact P Corrigan customer relations executive.Thanks.

the TSB that we have a copy of (but know is outdated) said production up until February 2009 for Avensis was potentially affected & I'm pretty sure that there were a couple of people on the forum with early T27s that did have an issue.

It certainly doesn't seem to be the issue that it was on T25s.
